My trajectory as a printmaker started with various traditional printmaking techniques. In the early 90s I experimented with alternative and innovative methods in an expanded art/printmaking field.
I work with different materials, concepts and in the same time concentrate on the idea of the print, whether physical, spiritual, marks left or memories. In order to break the two-dimensional aspect of the print I use latex positive forms taken from plaster moulds, some of which were combined with digital prints of maps, photos and televised images
The choice of latex isn’t an innocent one. One which due to its physical qualities brings to the observers’ visible universe a strong relationship with the material. The latex is at the same time an element of rupture. It underlines the existence of frontiers and at the same time dislocates them: it is in the same time the mark and the print.
